1. Rampaging herdsmen continued their onslaught on Benue State Communities on Tuesday evening, killing scores. The latest incident happened in Otobi community in the Akpa district of Otukpo Local Government Area of the State, with many residents fleeing their homes.
2. Investors in a ponzi scheme, CBEX, are counting their losses after those behind the scheme reportedly closed business. Nigerians, especially in Oyo and Lagos States are said to have lost over N1 trillion to the scheme.
3. Embattled national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has carpeted the party’s Governors’ Forum, vowing to stay on in office. This is against the decision taken by the governors during their meeting in Oyo State.
4. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) says it has launched an investigation into the alleged N1.3tn frauds perpetrated through a digital investment platform, CryptoBank Exchange, CBEX. The commission said it was collaborating with Interpol in the investigation.
5. The standoff between the Rivers State Government and the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA), worsened on Tuesday, with the former threatening to recover the sum of N300m, following the relocation of the NBA’s 2025 Annual General Conference from Port Harcourt to Enugu State.
6. In what appears to be a dig aimed at the presidency, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has said that leaders at the national level must solve the problems of Nigerians across the country and not just make lives better for only a gang in Lagos. He said this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Tuesday.
7. Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has declared that his government is in control of the violent attacks in the state. He gave the assurance following the killing of over 50 people by gunmen on Sunday night in Zikke village, Bassa Local Government Area.
8. The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has boasted that the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, is no longer active and will soon cease to exist. Ganduje also claimed that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 election wants to come back to the APC.

Suspected armed herders, on Tuesday, renewed their onslaught on Benue State, sending residents packing, with many reported dead.
The latest attack was on Otobi community in the Akpa district of Otukpo Local Government Area, leaving several people feared dead and hundreds displaced.
The lawmaker representing Otukpo-Akpa constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly, Kennedy Angbo, also confirmed the attack to Punch Newspapers, which he said began around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
It was gathered that this is the third time the community is coming under severe attack in the month of April this year.
A resident of the community disclosed that the assailants stormed the area at about 6 pm, shooting sporadically and setting houses ablaze.
An unspecified number of people are believed to have been killed.
Nigeria Police declares woman wanted over cyber crime
The Nigeria Police has declared one Ihuoma Julia Nneji wanted over cybercrime.
She is being accused of criminal defamation, injurious falsehood and cyber fraud.
This was contained in a bulletin published on the Force’s social media pages on Tuesday.
