Suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
This came days after Wike said Fubara must beg for forgiveness if he wants to return to his seat.
Sources hinted that the meeting held at Wike's residence in Abuja.
Those who accompanied Fubara to the meeting included Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Ebonyi State governor, Francis Nwifuru and Olusegun Osoba, a former governor of Ogun.
On getting to Wike's residence, Fubara "walked straight into Wike's living room because that's a familiar terrain" and he begged the Minister, an insider told DAILY POST.
When asked the outcome of the meeting and on whether it would lead to a quick end of the state of emergency, he added: "That I can't confirm but all I know is that there was a meeting."
