The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Inyang Ekwo has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to release socialite and business woman, Aisha Achimugu within 24 hours.
Justice Ekwo gave the order in a short ruling on Wednesday.
The court also added that parties in the suit, especially the EFCC are to report to the court to give report on compliance to the order of court on May 2, 2025.
The EFCC, NATIONAL POST reports, brought Achimugu to court earlier on Wednesday in compliance to court order.
Justice Ekwo had on Monday, ordered Achimugu to submit herself to the anti-graft Commission in connection with an on going investigation bordering on Money laundering and other offences.
It could be recalled that the EFCC arrested Achimugu at 5am on Tuesday at the Nnamidi Azikiwe International Airport.
The EFCC is investigating Achimugu on a case involving conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretence, money laundering, corruption, and possession of properties reasonably suspected to have been unlawfully obtained.
