Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, has vowed that he will never quit the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
The governor said this while dismissing rumours suggesting that he and four other governors are planning to join the coalition being formed by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
In a press statement on Sunday, the governor described the reports as “ridiculously malicious” and the handiwork of “uninteresting political comedians.”
The statement, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, stressed that Kebbi State remains a stronghold of the APC and dismissed any notion of disloyalty as a “dance of mad fellows in the marketplace.”
Idris reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, declaring that he is “made in APC, by APC, and for APC.”
He said, “For the avoidance of doubt, I am not a political prostitute. I will be the last person to leave my formidable and reliable party for any coalition, no matter who the architects are.”
“If they tell you again that Kaura is likely to leave his APC, tell them I will be the last man standing.”
