Stakeholders of Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State rose from their meeting, weekend, announcing the endorsement of Governor Peter Mbah for a second term in office.
The stakeholders said having reviewed the developmental trajectory of Enugu State, they came to the conclusion that Mbah had surpassed expectations.
In a communique issued after the meeting, made available to journalists on Monday, they highlighted security of lives and property, as well as massive infrastructural development as reason for the endorsement.
The communiqué was signed by 40 stakeholders who attended the meeting.
It reads,
"We, the undersigned stakeholders of Oji River Local Government Area, convened on the 28th day of April 2025, in a strategic forum aimed at reviewing the developmental trajectory of our dear state under the purposeful leadership of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubisi MBAH.
After an extensive and insightful deliberation, we are compelled by both duty and conviction to publicly commend His Excellency for the transformational leadership and visionary governance that have characterized his administration. The indices of progress are not only visible but measurable- from massive road infrastructure development to educational reform: Construction of 260 Smart Schools, health sector revitalization and advancement: Construction of 260 Primary Health Care Centers, Introduction of modern transportation system and economic empowerment, agricultural transformation and above all, the entrenchment of peace and security across the state. These milestones are not mere Statistics, they reflect a Leadership ethos that Prioritize people over politics, substance over sentiment and delivery over rhetoric.
Particularly noteworthy is the administration's proactive stance on the security of lives and property. In a time marked by growing national insecurity, Enugu State has remained a sanctuary of stability and social cohesion, owing to the Governor's strategic policies and collaborative security architecture. The economic and social gains derived from this secure environment cannot be overstated.
In recognition of these unparalleled achievements, we the stakeholders of Oji River LGA, confidently declare that His Excellency's re- election for second term is a fair accompli, a political certainty grounded in performance, goodwill and the resounding support of the people. We are fully mobilized to ensure that this mandate is renewed overwhelmingly as a reward for excellence and as a call to sustain the momentum of progress.
Your Excellency, be assured that Oji River stands resolutely with you in the spirit of shared responsibility and Civic partnership. We reaffirm our unwavering support for your administration. We remain committed to complementing the government's efforts through grassroots mobilization, constructive engagement and community driven initiatives that reflect our collective aspirations. Our structure, voices and influence across the state are aligned in unity, courage and enduring legacy.
