By

Remo Stars have won the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title.

They were crowned Champions after 1-0 win over Niger Tornadoes at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Sunday.

This is the Daniel Ogunmode-led side's maiden NPFL title

Olamilekan Adedayo scored the winning goal six minutes from time.

Remo Stars made history as the first privately owned club to win the title since Udoji United in 1996.

It's the first time a South West club will claim the title since defunct Julius Berger won it 20 years ago.

The Ikenne club top the standings with 68 points from 35 points.

Second-placed Rivers United have 58 points from same number of matches.
